Predefined templates for simple connections, parametric templates, and visual modeling for moderate and complex joints.
Connections You Can Stand Behind
IDEA StatiCa checks steel connections, concrete details and anchoring against AISC and ACI with a patented analysis method. Every result arrives in a code-checked report ready for approval.

The shift
Connection design should not run on estimates
Hand calculations and spreadsheet checks leave gaps on exactly the joints that matter most.
The old way
- ×Connection design eats days per project, especially on complex nodes
- ×Retyping loads and remodelling joints after every analysis iteration
- ×Estimating behavior on connections the code formulas barely cover
- ×Complex nodes with more than three bars in a node get simplified or avoided
The IDEA StatiCa way
- ✓Cut connection design time by up to 80% with templates and bulk-checking
- ✓BIM links import, export and synchronize data with 40+ FEA and CAD tools
- ✓CBFEM combines FEM with the component method, including real endplate behavior and prying effects on bolts
- ✓Visual modeling handles complex connections, with a library of 1M+ real-world joints to adapt and reuse
Process
From model to code-checked report
Start fast and see the difference within weeks.
Import your model
Bring loads and geometry in directly from tools like RISA-3D, RAM Structural System, STAAD.Pro, SAP2000 or ETABS via BIM links.
Design the connection
Start from a predefined template or model visually for complex joints. Parametric templates adapt to your geometry.
Check to code
CBFEM runs ULS and SLS checks to the latest AISC, ACI and other national standards, with detailed visual results for optimization.
Export and document
Generate a code-checked report in 3 clicks, and synchronize updated data back to your analysis or detailing model.
Inside the product
Design, check and document in one place
From simple shear tabs to multi-bar nodes and D-regions, the checks follow the latest AISC, ACI and other national standards, covering ULS and SLS.
Steel connection design
Predefined templates for simple connections, parametric templates, and visual modeling for moderate and complex joints.
Concrete and anchoring
Design concrete walls and D-regions of any shape and load, including openings and dapped ends. Optimize reinforcement layout and material usage.
Reports in 3 clicks
Comprehensive code-checked reports with full ULS and SLS checks, ready for approval.
Bulk checking
Check groups of similar connections at once instead of one joint at a time.
Connection Library
1M+ real-world joints you can adapt and reuse across projects.
Traceable method
The patented CBFEM method combines finite element analysis with the component method, so results reflect real behavior, not rough estimates.
Proof
What users report back
“It saved me a lot of time and work.”
“It allows stress analysis of very complex connections.”

Questions
Licensing, answered plainly
How does IDEA StatiCa licensing work?+
Licenses are online and account-based. We set up a cloud license server for each customer, and you access the license from any device with your email credentials. Standard licenses allow up to 7 users per license product; enterprise licenses are unlimited.
Is there a single or network configuration?+
No. All licenses use floating seats. You can switch devices, return the license to the pool, share it with colleagues, and work from the office, home or on the road.
What is the difference between a subscription and a perpetual license?+
A perpetual license is a time-unlimited entitlement, but maintenance must be purchased on top and renewed annually to receive new versions and support. A subscription is time-limited and automatically includes maintenance, and can be extended or expanded with more seats as your needs grow.
How does maintenance work?+
Maintenance gives you two things: technical issues solved by our in-house specialists, and access to the current version, with two major releases plus minor updates per year. It is included in all subscription licenses and purchased separately for perpetual licenses. If an older perpetual license has no maintenance, an upgrade to the current version is required before buying maintenance for the next period.
Is the license country-limited?+
Yes. Standard licenses can only be used in the country specified at purchase, usually tied to the billing address. Multinational usage is available with the Enterprise license.
What do the displayed prices cover?+
Prices shown are the range across all available products for one floating seat license. Subscription prices are displayed for the 12-month option; other subscription periods are available via quote request.
